At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Foundry Fabrication Technology Manager to join our team, whose mission is to innovate on manufacturing and materials technologies to help accelerate and de-risk the development of future soft wearable technologies. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in lab management, planning, and operations. You will collaborate with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of exceptional researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and fabrication and characterization facilities. We seek people who work well on teams, can brainstorm and communicate big ideas, and can plan and drive development and research investigations.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
B.S. or equivalent degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or related fields
5+ years experience with laboratory management and operations that requires the use, management, and proper disposition of Hazardous Production Materials (HPMs)
2+ years of experience with operating and maintaining a cleanroom environment
5+ years of experience working with researchers, engineers, vendors, contractors, Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
2+ years of experience in creating, organizing, and tracking research documentation
Description(岗位职责)
Oversee daily laboratory operations including user access requests, safety, training, equipment reservations and access, equipment maintenance, and inventory and contamination controls
Ensure lab process and operations documentation sets are updated, review and verify safety assessments are completed and complied with during operations/maintenance
Plan and oversee new tool requests, lab floorplanning and construction, and installations including essential supporting infrastructure, services, and process materials
Baseline lab operations through regular testing of the environment and collaborate with process engineers to stabilize and mature processes through statistical process controls
Collaborate with researchers to forecast lab capabilities, participate in source selection, and broaden applicability of core abilities and identify and manage external partnerships to anticipate and address multiple teams’ goals
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Advanced degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or related field
2+ years of experience in development and use of high-performance electronic materials, polymer and/or synthetic chemistry, battery chemistry, or similar fields
2+ years of experience in developing and maturing fabrication and characterization technologies that are predominantly performed in controlled environments (e.g., cleanrooms, wet labs, etc.)
2+ years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
2+ years of planning, construction management, and oversight of laboratories, cleanrooms, and tool installation
