Summary（岗位介绍）
As an Optical Systems Integration Manager, you will manage a team of Individual Contributors (IC) involved in early conceptualization and development of high-fidelity optical prototypes to deliver high volume consumer products. As the manager of one of the core development partner teams that bridges the space between one-off Product Engineering prototypes and manufacturing partners, your responsibilities will help shape the future success of our products.
Your role will collaborate cross-functionally within the engineering community leading along with ME, EE, OE, FW, SW, MFG, RE and Test disciplines. You will own the system level optical integration through the creation of test vehicles, optical test platforms, and generation of technical tools for the next generation of AR products. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability of managing ICs along with internal design teams and external production partners. The candidate will also have an extraordinary ability to communicate to all levels of an organization – from management and higher-level strategy planning to the leads and technicians.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS degree in Optical Engineering, Opto-Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of experience or advanced degree in Optical Engineering, Opto-Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience.
2+ years of engineering team management experience.
Experience in systems development across full product life cycles – concept to production Proficiency in at least one optical design software package (e.g. Zemax, CODE V, LightTools, FRED, ASAP).
Experience in novel metrology technologies and work with suppliers on prototype development.
Description（岗位职责）
Manage a team of individual contributors focusing in prototype characterization, test and validation of critical optical systems like AR/VR Displays, Cameras, and Sensors.
Identify key roles required for team success and recruit top engineering talent.
Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching and mentoring, career development plans, performance management.
Lead along cross-functional teams, including Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering to characterize and test optical systems.
Function as an expert in optical metrology, test and validation for AR devices.
Provide regular updates on project status, issues/resolutions and help needed to cross-functional teams and executives.
Manage external design contractors and manufacturing technology partners in the design, creation, and qualification of characterization equipment.
Build engineering capabilities and processes for product enablement, design verification, and validation.
Lead architecture and design reviews to ensure solutions meet program goals and milestone requirements.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
MS Optical Engineering and/or Optomechanical Engineering.
7+ years managing design teams for high-volume consumer products.
Experience with handheld and wearable electronics, opto-mechanical assemblies, and complex consumer electronics.
Experience with design for Six Sigma, inclusive of structure problem solving approach, design experimentation and optimization (DOE), root cause and defect/failure analysis, FMEA, FEA, reliability testing, statistical data analysis, manufacturing process knowledge (MSA/GRR).
Experience with statistical analysis, including usage of tools such as JMP and Minitab.
