Every day, you will work alongside expert Research Scientists, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Software Engineers who are creating the technology that will make VR and AR pervasive and universal.
The Health & Safety Specialist builds collaborative and productive working relationships; networks with, and appropriately involves operations management, support functions and employees; influences operational decisions; and implements assignments that have an impact on operations. They will implement, administer, and sustain site-level safety programs and procedures per company requirements or applicable safety regulatory requirements or in collaboration with the Health & Safety Team. The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for conducting inspections, investigations, risk assessments, chemical order approval and implementing corrective action.
Seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to support our growing research and product development operations. Supporting our growing and complex R&D facilities on second shift.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in environmental, health, safety or relevant scientific or engineering field.
8+ years’ experience in Safety and Health, with knowledge in Industrial Hygiene.
Understands hazard communication and regulatory compliance work processes including chemical inventory (HMIS), chemical assessment, industrial hygiene and right-to-know.
Possess regulatory and technical safety knowledge as well as work well with limited supervision while being responsible for project management, compliance assurance, risk mitigation, and injury prevention.
Experience prioritizing and managing multiple & technically assignments concurrently.
Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver, project management skills and focus on results.
Effective communicator and send clear concise and consistent messages including the experience to effectively present proposed plans and results to management.
Experience participating in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
Experience working effectively in teams.
Description（岗位职责）
Partner and collaborate with the business and operations management and support functions, to implement and administer safety programs, procedures, and practices
Conduct inspections, investigations – identify root cause and implement corrective actions
Performs job hazard analysis and risk assessments and implement effective programs, procedures, practices, and standard work to ensure regulatory compliance and protect employees
This includes topics such as lab safety, chemical storage and handling, machine guarding and knowledge of automated equipment
Serve as back-up emergency response coordinator
key partnership with environmental, engineering, lab operations
Review chemical orders and insure hazards identified are correctly indicated in the chemical inventory system
Conduct inspections, investigations, safety observations, and resulting mitigation activities that will identify, evaluate, and control unsafe health & safety hazards or risks
Evaluate safety metrics to discover trends for necessary corrective measures
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Masters in industrial hygiene
Experience with NFPA 400 or IFC Chapter 50
