The Devices & Technology team within Mixed Reality is responsible for every physical device that Mixed Reality ships – from firmware to final hardware.

This role is part of the Program Management Office team that drives program clarity across the entire organization. We are seeking a Business & Cost Product Manager who will be the key team member driving cost accountability throughout the development of our Public Sector/Government devices.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Due to contractuallimitations and ITAR obligations associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanentresident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • Hardware development experience.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional and cross-organizational experience.
  • Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required.
  • Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGP/COGS analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, related products/technologies, business administration or engineering fields.
  • Experience leading rhythms, processes, or projects across large stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working with offshore manufacturing partners and suppliers.

As a Business and Product Manager, you will be responsible for the following including but not limited to:

  • Lead our cost accountability program across Mixed Reality Devices – partnering closely with engineering leadership, supply chain, and finance peers.
  • Continuously improve and evolve COGP/COGS and Gross Margin insights garnered through BOM analysis and technical review, with a goal of influencing/impacting business in a positive manner through crisp storytelling and identifying opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve product profitability. Identify and drive programs with engineering & finance for cross-functional cost efficiencies and resource optimization.
  • Drive clarity across all contributing teams. Cross-functional collaboration with partner teams is a key talent.
  • Synthesize the complex as you provide periodic updates to Senior Management.
