As RL Planning & Operations Lead you will oversee various operations, build efficiency where needed, and bring thought leadership, deep insights, and strategic thinking to the role while partnering successfully with leaders on the team.
The ideal candidate has experience in driving simple solutions to highly complex, ambiguous problems in a highly matrixed cross-functional team. A data-driven self-starter who proactively identifies and solves problems while continuously seeking ways to improve and drive efficiencies into the organization. This individual thrives in and enjoys a fast-paced, cross-functional, and action-oriented environment and is passionate about mentoring, coaching, and developing others. The person in this role will be a strong program manager, synthesizer and problem solver, with the ability to shift seamlessly between strategic, project management and execution tasks. You will appreciate efficiency, collaborative working relationships and know how to prioritize with ease and respond to challenges with grace and timeliness. You will build strong relationships with operational partners and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the Metaverse and the products that Meta is building to advance consumer experiences in AR and VR, and is a strategic thinker with a track record of working with leaders to drive tangible results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
8+ years of experience in strategic planning and/or business operations in the technology/internet or digital media space.
Experience leading strategy, operations and process improvement projects in consulting and/or in a relevant strategy/operations team.
Experience problem solving and analytical skills, with experience driving projects from strategy to execution.
Experience leading and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Lead projects to optimize organizational health and structure, helping to scale the organization and build team culture, e.g., role clarity and interaction models between groups.
Manage the cadence and process of product team updates to FRL leadership, including facilitating product reviews, assessing and prioritizing requests for executive reviews, and providing pre and post-review coaching and feedback to presenting teams.
Drive operational excellence in the RL organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or improve processes and approaches to the business.
Be the go-to person who connects cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration.
Conduct business research and analysis and provide actionable insights for leadership to support decision-making.
Lead operational reviews for RL to drive decision-making and assess progress against goals and priorities.
Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and build plans to drive execution.
Drive key leadership meetings and facilitate alignment on key issues and opportunities.
Work closely with internal communications and HR teams to ensure leadership is communicating constantly and transparently within the team and across Meta.
Synthesize various requirements and priorities into a unified actionable roadmap for company-wide milestones and drive the execution across multiple cross-functional teams.
Create clear and concise requirements both business and technical to enable the automation of operations.
Develop long-term objectives of how we will evolve company operations while delivering on immediate priorities.
Become a trusted partner working cross-functionally with engineer, product and business teams building a deep understanding of how their teams work, their needs and how streamline and operationalize improvements into their teams.
Anticipate bottlenecks and provide escalation management.
Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Experience in AR/VR and/or Hardware.
Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
Experience with Design-Led thinking, prototyping and problem solving.
