Meta Reality Labs, we’re developing the future of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Display Module Team. Your job will be figuring out what we need to do within your program to build it. You’ll be a critical member of the Display Module team, identifying long term trends, driving the design process, removing barriers to enable your team’s success, communicating progress to all stakeholders and ensuring the big picture stays in focus while delving into the details on specific technical issues. In this role, you will work closely with internal research teams, academic institutions, external partners and vendors. Ideal team members are adaptable and resilient, eager to tackle unfamiliar situations with curiosity and tenacity, while able to inspire and influence team members at different levels of experience. Display Module TPMs must excel in many areas including communication, organization, strategic planning and technical understanding which will lead to providing customers with the best user-experience in the industry for AR/VR products.

Qualifications（岗位要求）

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

6+ years of technical program management experience (or related role) in the semiconductor field leading complex display component development programs

Experience practicing phased product and technology development lifecycle

Experience with new technology and product introduction (NTI/NPI) and technology transfer best practice and tools

Experience with cross-functional programs across hardware and early product definition phases

Knowledge of program and issue tracking

Experience building, coordinating, and maintaining schedules across multiple teams, and managing shared resources to lead successful technology development programs

Experience leading and partnering with Asian-based vendors and contract manufacturers.

Demonstrated experience in developing, shipping and ramping product into high volume manufacturing

Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Experience motivating, influencing, and resolving conflict amongst a cross-functional team

Communication skills with experience synthesizing information into the most concise points to move a team/initiative forward

Experience communicating technical information to non-experts, at all levels of the organization

Description（岗位职责）

Manage research and product / process development programs to create advanced display components and silicon through collaboration with the engineering teams on development activities which includes short to long range strategic planning, optical architecture definition, and NTI to mass production execution.

Operates at different levels of ambiguity, from high-level strategic planning (technology selection, organizational structure, commercial partnerships, investment) to tactical project management (prioritization, schedule creation, milestone definition and execution, and deliverables management).

Breakdown the complexity of deep technical programs to enable a clear understanding of scope and deliverables to a wide audience of team members.

Work with research and engineering teams to map out the scope, and identify constraints, dependencies, and risks

Identify the resources needed and work closely with team leaders to maintain full visibility of the project schedule and potential roadblocks.

Act as the main channel of communication in key formal discussions that involve technical team leaders, cross functional and external partners, and other members of the organization.

Lead program milestone reviews and present project status to the executive team.

Establish the product development plan, drive the execution, and manage the day-to-day activities of the program.

Lead product development activities to specify, procure, measure, and build advanced display & optics components and assemblies for AR/VR displays.

Manage projects with suppliers and partners from writing statement of work to final deliverables in collaboration with support functions such as Business Development, Legal, and Procurement.

Evaluate suppliers’ capabilities to meet product requirements together with the research scientists, device and process engineers, and partner with the Ops team to establish a robust and scalable supply chain strategy.

Proactively identify technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to fix them and manage risks.

Expect to travel domestically and internationally (4-6 times a year)
