Apple Music Content Design is responsible for crafting alluring and compelling static, animated, and immersive creative for all types of products and content across the Apple Music product. Our ideal candidate will have an interdisciplinary sensibility toward graphic, product, narrative and digital media design along with an outstanding eye for detail. He or she will expand on and build out future content experiences across Apple Music. This is an opportunity to change the way Apple Music listeners experience audio visual entertainment and media.
Have an innovative vision for Apple Music, demonstrating user experience principles, storytelling, motion, sound, layout and typography
Have the ability to work independently with regards to leading the conversation around 3D/immersive design development and creative production
Have experience collaborating with a team of technical designers, creative and art directors, CG artists and QA testers
Proven ability to lead cross functional collaboration with internal partners and 3rd parties/vendors
Display intuitive problem-solving skills to help with task prioritization, foresee roadblocks and preconceived solutions
Have 8+ years experience acting as a sr producer or lead producer in a creatively-driven design, animation or production agency, or brand / product internal creative team creative agency, with basic knowledge of Engine-driven motion environments, Immersive motion experiences, motion design, graphic design, CG production, and asset production at scale
Maintain team morale through enthusiasm, optimism, and authority in the face of challenges.
– Act as the main contact for all project-related communication, building a strong reputation and cross-functional relationships
– Assist Creative Leads with the proposal of groundbreaking creative that enhances Apple Music’s visual experience
– Dream, plan, build, launch and grow the development of new media and content types
– Initiate, evaluate, and validate creative proposals and determine feasibility of implementation
– Lead and run project process through an entire development lifecycle, from conceptual development to launch
– Craft and present creative briefs, timelines, and project plans
– Communicate expectations and dependencies across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring smooth delivery of milestones
– Track project progress and maintain awareness of team status
– Review contracts, author change orders, and track budget cost
– Portfolio displaying breadth creative production
– Track record for seeing projects through from conceptualization to launch
– Experience leading external teams, both local and overseas
– Knowledge of motion design software, 2D and 3D
– Knowledge of creative coding applications a plus
– Knowledge of projection mapping / AR / VR techniques is a plus.
– Knowledge in Unity a plus
– A love for music and the intersection of audio and visual design
