At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Wearable Camera Systems Engineer to join our team, whose mission is to enable next-generation human-computer interface by developing sensor systems for AR/VR input. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience in wearable or consumer-electronics optical detector systems and optical modeling and who can work with a team of researchers to design, build and test wearable sensing systems. More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Masters or PhD in Optics, Imaging Science, Physics, Engineering, or related fields
5+ years industry experience in low-SWAP camera system design, integration and testing
5+ years experience with optical modeling and data analysis tools such as Zemax, MATLAB, Python, or other similar tools
5+ years experience with photodetector technologies (CCD, CMOS, APD, SPAD, thermal, etc.) and camera module design principles and best practices
2+ years experience leading technical projects, cross-functional teams, and vendors
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description（岗位职责）
Design, build and test optical sensing systems that may include active illumination (LEDs, lasers, structured light), cameras (CCDs, thermal, SPAD, etc.), and passive optical components (lenses, polarizers, spectral filters, etc.)
Develop optical models of our sensor systems to guide requirement definition with simulations
Build quick prototypes to enable our team’s path-finding research
Work with cross-functional engineering and research partners to mature prototypes to increasing levels of fidelity, ranging from proof-of-concept bench-top demonstrations to wearable integrated systems
Work with cross-functional research partners to understand their goals and define system requirements
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience with camera module manufacturing/assembly process, consumer product optical design, and DFM (design for manufacturing) principles
Experience with biosensors such as pulse oximeters, glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, etc.
Experience with low-SWAP beam steering methods
Experience with coherent imaging
Experience with optical ranging methods (dTOF, iTOF, structured light, etc.)
