The Sales Operations team of Meta Reality Labs is looking for an experienced Technical Business Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of Meta business systems. These systems support our global sales processes. The objective is to meet or exceed operational performance targets for these systems and enable Reality Labs to reach its ambitious sales goals and create value to our partners and customers.
Reality Labs Sales team is responsible for reaching the ambitious sales goals for all of Meta’s hardware products, including Meta Quest 2, Portal and any other future hardware products. This team serves all segments (retail, commercial, direct to consumer) globally.
The primary objective of this position is to enable our business operations. The successful candidate will design a scalable approach to managing the day-to-day operations of a growing set of systems that support Meta Reality Labs sales teams.
Perform day to day management of all of our systems meet or exceed operational performance targets.
Manage the team responsible for the day-to-day operations of our systems and continuously improve productivity of the technical business operations team and indirectly the productivity of the sales team.
This role will partner with cross-functional teams, working closely with the process owners, technical program managers and business owners. To maintain operations, this person will work with engineering, data analytics, data engineering teams and external technology vendors.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working with complex technical tools and large distributed data sets. Have a strong understanding of the technical solutions used to support sales functions such as business intelligence tools, CRM tools (salesforce), Demand Planning and enterprise planning tools. Passion for quality, continuous improvement is a must.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Meta, building community and connecting people and working creating the foundations of the Metaverse. The candidate will have a proven track record of complex technical program management and managing systems at scale in a fast-paced environment and be a strategic thinker who can drive results quickly.
B.S. or M.S. in business-related or quantitative field (Engineering, or similar discipline)
5+ years of experience in operating technology solutions in retail or enterprise sales organizations
Experience understanding of data structures, data modeling, database schema, SQL
Experience to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and highly demanding work environment
Experience to lead complex technical programs from start to end
Experience to communicate with clarity across both engineering, marketing and sales teams
In collaboration with business process owner and various engineering teams, design appropriate operational processes that scale to maintain high performance of our business systems
Own the enhancement roadmap for selected systems and manage roll-out of enhanced operational processes
Design operational and maintenance processes and build resourcing to effectively operate systems such that production and compliance requirements are met
Drive operational excellence in sales organization through identification opportunity areas and design of processes that create efficiency, remove obstacles
Experience with Salesforce based systems, forecasting processes, digital asset management systems
Experience problem solving individually or in a group setting and knowledge of drivers of the business
Understanding of retail and enterprise sales processes and business operations
Experience shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control
