Summary（岗位介绍）
The Environmental Engineer, Waste will be a Subject Matter Expert to provide direction, guidance, and technical expertise for Reality Labs compliance program across the globe. The expectation of the role is to employ deep technical and functional expertise advising business units, providing practical application from conceptual design, operations and deconstruction to ensure regulatory compliance during project lifecycle, as well as environmental best management practices.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s Degree in environmental management, engineering, or related scientific field
Experience in US (CA, WA, TX, NC) and EU environmental laws
Experience with Environmental Management Systems
Advanced understanding of hazardous waste regulations
Seven plus years of waste experience with managing, developing, and implementing environmental waste programs and projects
Clear, concise and proven consistent communicator
Experience in integrating technology to build efficiencies with input, track and monitor compliance
Description（岗位职责）
Develop, summarize, and communicate environmental obligations across multiple diverse teams, including design, construction, and operations teams
Provide environmental expertise and partner with diverse internal teams and coordinate with other internal stakeholders about relevant issues and requirements, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams where needed
Develop training and educational tools regarding environmental goals, compliance, and awareness
Stay current on changes in environmental policy and regulations to assess and mitigate risks to the project portfolio
Responsible for all aspects of reporting and operational compliance with hazardous waste regulations (Universal Waste, RCRA, and non-hazardous)
Oversee and manage waste management vendor contracts and services to include disposal and transportation, onsite waste technician services and emergency response services
Participate in and lead emergency response events involving hazardous waste and chemical spills
Collect and critically analyze waste generation data to detect deviations in trends and drive internal investigations
Determine waste applicability for new sites and processes
formulate and develop waste policies, procedures and programs as needed

MS preferred in environmental management, engineering, or related scientific field
