As a research engineer, you will foster our scientific explorations in areas like human motion and shape reconstruction. Masters degree in Computer Graphics/Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, or related fields.
3+ years experience working with real-time systems and/or multi-threaded applications.
3+ years experience programming in C++.
3+ years experience in creating 3d geometry processing, 3d animation, and/or deep learning solutions for digital humans, avatars, or robots.
Collaborate with a diverse and interdisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, artists, and designers to conceptualize, build, and test novel technologies on digital humans and avatars.
Support the realization of research outcomes into code and experiences through reusable tools, extensible plug-ins, and clearly readable and modularized libraries.
Learn constantly, dive into new areas with uncharted technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of inventing the future of digital humans.
PhD degree in Computer Graphics/Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, or related fields.
Proven track record of development and maintenance of tools, libraries, or systems used by 20+ users.
Proven track record of leading software engineering projects involving 5+ people to completion.
Made significant contributions to open source projects or datasets.
Proficient in both modern C++ and modern Python.
Proficient with performance profiling tools and experience in debugging real time multi-threaded applications.
Experience with designing real-time systems in C++ and Cuda.
Experience working with modern deep learning frameworks and neural network architectures.
Experience with neural network optimization, and working with FPGA and/or DSPs.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: image processing, multiview systems, camera calibration, 3d pose estimation, 3D shape deformation models, 3D reconstruction and registration, non-linear optimization, neural network training and deployment, distributed and cloud computing.
Experience with digital double generation for high-end VFX production and/or video games or apps.
Experience with 3d packages such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Unity.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or publications in peer-reviewed journals/conferences.
