You are a talented Level Designer with a passion for creating engaging spaces for multiplayer competition and cooperative play. You enjoy the iterative process of prototyping, playtesting, and tuning gameplay while carefully balancing the interplay of core mechanics and the environment. You have a passion for providing engaging game experiences to the community and empowering them to share their experiences.
3+ years of experience as a Level Designer on at least one shipped title.
Experience building levels in Unity.
Extensive knowledge of multiplayer first person shooters levels, modes, and mechanics and where they are and aren’t successful.
A proven track record of balancing art and Level Design to ensure that spaces look amazing and have compelling gameplay and flow.
Experience with creating vision for what makes a level fun and translate ambiguity into intended player outcomes.
Experience with level design fundamentals and communicating them to a variety of collaborators.
Communication skills, to give and receive feedback well and translate into a clear plan of action.
Experience developing work in progress, pivoting, or resetting and restarting for the best outcome.
Design, implement, and tune game levels and missions in direct collaboration with producers, engineers, and artists on the team.
Create fun and compelling gameplay spaces that deliver on the goals of replayability, diverse strategy, and emergent moments.
Implement and balance content related to core gameplay and level specific modes and objectives.
Drive the development of a modular kit of design tools to empower the team to create levels efficiently.
Work closely with the analytics team to monitor and optimize the performance of game content in the live environment.
Review and distill down successful and unsuccessful implementations of levels and gameplay mechanics to reveal opportunities for improvement.
Experience with other aspects of design (Core design, systems, narrative, character design).
Experience working on a VR or AR product.
