At Meta, we’re developing the future of AR/VR. Within our Optical Display Products organization, we are building a talented team of hardware engineers with competencies across varying fields. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be working closely with design, engineering and external manufacturing partners to understand, develop and implement a high yielding, stable process to enable high volume manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in optics, physics, manufacturing or equivalent experience in the field with shipping optical components and modules in mass production for consumer devices.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, Material Science or minimum 4 years of equivalent experience in the field
Experience with end-to-end optical component and module processing familiarity - front-end and back-end processes
Experience in/with optical competency in devices - brightness, contrast, uniformity, MTF
Experience in Data processing - JMP, Tableau, MATLAB, or equivalent
Understanding of Design for Manufacturing Concepts - yield, throughput, efficiency, CPK
Experience in vendor management - navigate communication channels between internal and external partners
Description（岗位职责）
Works with internal partners to identify vendors and support vendor roadmap development for high volume production equipment
Understand end-to-end process flow, tool requirements, and interplay between design/process by engaging with internal designers, digesting datasets, and forging a relationship with our external manufacturing partner
Influence process convergence as it relates to meeting design requirements and manufacturability targets
Cooperatively own tool and process specifications with cross-functional team leaders
Communicate and drive accountability for specifications, manufacturing metrics, and line qualification requirements to external vendor
Support data validation for design and process validation at limits of design/process windows
Partner with external vendor in troubleshooting, yield improvement, FA/CA and mitigating any technical issues
Support ramp readiness with cross-functional team
execute operation and delivery of module to system integrator
Drive cost and cycle time reduction through line balancing, and process optimization
Drives development and execution of plans for transfer of New Technology Introduction (NTI) to high volume manufacturing for our display module sub-assembly
Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as necessary
Communicate clearly with cross functional partners and management
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Masters or Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics or Material Science
Experience with high volume manufacturing of optical devices
Experience working with an external vendor as a contract manufacturing partner
