As part of the Display and Optics Organization at Meta, our team’s mission is to design and develop core optical technologies, modules and sub-systems for next generation AR/VR displays. In this role, you will be leading a rapidly growing team responsible for optical design, development and product integration of novel optical modules and systems. Qualifications（岗位要求）
PhD Degree in Optics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
7+ years of experience in developing optical modules or systems in highly multidisciplinary environments, including optical design, setting specifications, determining test methods, and overall module and system integration.
3+ years of management experience, leading a hardware development team in consumer electronics or similar field.
Experience with full life-cycle product launches from design to mass production, and working with external vendors/partners.
Experience with one or more of the following optics domains: imaging optics, optical sensing, lens design, illumination, radiometry and photometry, geometric or physical optics, projector design, wave optics, interferometry.
Experience and high-level familiarity with using ray tracing software such as Zemax, CodeV or Light-tools.
Description（岗位职责）
Build, lead and mentor a world-class optical engineering team to develop new optical modules and systems, such as display engines and optical sensors, for future AR/VR products.
Lead the team through the entire product cycle end-to-end, from innovation through prototyping and scalable hardware development.
Foster and develop a culture of hardware engineering excellence, by guiding the team towards being innovative, building predictive optical models, clearly defining hardware specifications, designing for manufacturability while also pushing the industry boundaries, and following rigorous data-driven engineering validation steps, among other practices.
Lead the team to perform research and development of emerging concepts in display and sensing technologies to develop strategies and optical technology roadmaps.
Develop relationships with internal cross-functional partners and external vendors, and support module builds and system integration activities as needed.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience with process development and conducting failure analysis for optical components and modules such as cameras, sensors, or illumination/projector systems.
Experience with defining, developing and/or using optical metrology equipment for optical characterization and testing.
Experience with defining and implementing quality control procedures and test plans across supply chain (IQC, OQC and IPQC).
Experience using scripting languages and data analysis tools such MATLAB, Python or JMP.
