Reality Labs brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of virtual and augmented reality, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. And just as personal computers have done over the past 45 years, AR and VR will ultimately change everything about how we work, play, and connect. We are developing all the technologies needed to enable breakthrough AR glasses and VR headsets, including optics and displays, computer vision, audio, graphics, brain-computer interface, haptic interaction, eye/hand/face/body tracking, perception science, and true telepresence. Some of those will advance much faster than others, but they all need to happen to enable AR and VR that are so compelling that they become an integral part of our lives.
We’re looking for system or board level Electrical Engineers with experience in high volume consumer products. These systems will have custom ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs from simple to large, displays, audio, camera sensors, and high speed I/O. Familiarity with CAD tools like Cadence OrCAD, Altium, SPICE, ModelSim, or Xilinx, is required. The ideal candidate would be comfortable designing mixed high-speed digital circuit boards, be experienced troubleshooting at the board and system level, and be familiar with the consumer product development process.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Knowledge of computer system architecture, digital circuits, and analog IC fundamentals
Experience with schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent
Experience with the use of oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, and function generators
Description（岗位职责）
Lead a project from concept to completion including schematic design, layout, fabrication, bringup, and debug
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product design, thermal, system architecture, and platform software
Work with component/IC vendors to select electrical components during the design process
Track project progress, bugs, and fixes and produce regular status reports
Transforming vendor reference designs into custom solutions
Incubating new technologies into high volume production
Willing to travel both domestically and internationally
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, relevant technical field
Experience with high speed signaling over DP, MIPI, HDMI, and USB SS
Experience with IMUs/sensor physical sensor systems with an understanding of calibration methods
Experience with vision systems
Experience with audio capture and render
Experience programming in languages like Python or C/C++
Experience with circuit design in high speed circuits, Verilog/FPGAs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, firmware, and programmable logic based development
Consumer Electronics experience and/or working within a mass production environment
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
