We are currently seeking innovative and self-motivated scientists who work at the intersection of machine-learning, computer vision and 3D reconstruction for designing systems to push the limits of current 3D reconstruction algorithms towards highly accurate, real-time, on-device solutions. An ideal candidate would come with an advanced knowledge in machine-learning, computer vision, 3D geometry and/or graphics to develop ML systems for reconstruction. The candidate should excel at working in a dynamic cross-functional environment with great communication skills.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision/Graphics, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Experience, including PhD research, working in machine learning, 3D reconstruction, computer vision and/or graphics.
Demonstrable experience with writing high-quality code in Python or C++ and experience with any of the popular deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet or similar.
Experience working on novel machine-learning/graphics problems exhibited in the form of at least one first-author publication in conferences/journals such as NeurIPS, CVPR, SIGGRAPH and similar venues.
Effective communication skills in English.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description(岗位职责)
Develop novel machine-learning models for 3D reconstruction from monocular multi-view photos/videos.
Develop, or explore, network architecture optimization frameworks to obtain on-device compatible (memory/compute efficient) models.
Drive the required data-collection, modeling, development, validation and deployment with cross-functional collaborations.
Implement the system in C++ or Python using/extending the existing deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
Present regularly to large cross-functional teams and communicate progress. Engage the wider academic community to pursue research in this direction through publications and/or workshop/challenge/tutorial organization top-tier conferences.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience with 3D reconstruction using machine learning or computer vision.
Experience with 3D computer vision, mesh/point-cloud processing, 3D deep-learning, Neural/Differentiable rendering, and sensors.
Hands-on experience with PyTorch framework and usage for research.
Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or top conferences that are relevant to the position.
