Summary(岗位介绍)

Reality Labs, the AR/VR business unit at Meta Platforms, is seeking experienced, highly quantitative, driven and creative Demand Planners to focus on AR/VR hardware demand forecasting and strategic planning for one of our existing or future product families. This position will require cross-functional coordination across several groups, with an emphasis on partnering with Sales Account and Category Managers, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Product Management. The successful candidate will combine strategic planning and decision making with deep data analytics and insights. The ideal candidate will be passionate about AR/VR and consumer hardware, have a demonstrated interest in data and technology, work well independently, be highly analytical and demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate highly complex topics to a broad audience. This role will challenge the candidate to understand and impact many facets of hardware business strategy, including sales planning, financial forecasting, strategic pricing, trade marketing, sales analytics and supply chain analytics.

BS

2+ years of experience of consumer electronics or consumer products (including accessories) demand forecasting

Advanced experience working with Excel

Experience in problem solving individually and in a group setting and knowledge of financial drivers of the business

Experience of communicating insights gained from data with clarity and impact

Description(岗位职责)

The successful Demand Planner candidate will be assigned to one of three functional areas within the Demand Planning group upon hire: 1) Global Product Demand Planning (Short, Medium-term forecast view of one or more of our current or product categories) 2) Region/Channel Demand Planning (deep understanding of one or more of our distribution channels: 3P Retail, Carrier, DTC or B2B Commercial across multiple product categories) 3) Long Term Planning (Market-based planning against the 3-5 year roadmap).

Partner with sales account managers, category managers, data analysts and business unit marketing teams to drive accurate demand planning and identify growth initiatives based on robust forecast models.

Forecast and track weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales performance of hero and accessories hardware products in AR/VR.

Own the actuals vs. forecast and goal performance analysis, drive identification of root causes and plan mitigation measures for gaps in performance.

Share forecast assumptions and impact of strategic activities to forecast outcomes to broader organization and various stakeholders.

Drive implementation of tools and techniques for continuous forecast accuracy improvement by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, dependencies, correlations, and developing future business outlook..

Partner with supply chain teams to impact production and launch decisions.

Partner with marketing and finance teams to impact and evaluate pricing and promotion strategy across the entire portfolio of products and assess new markets for business growth.

Present outcomes at reviews with business leaders across Meta and Reality Labs.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

7+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics or sales planning experience with Excel and PowerPoint

Experience with forecasting tools (e.g. Anaplan, Algo, e2open, Logility etc.)

Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and forecast accuracy metrics

Experience in shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control

Experience in strategic planning in tech company, investment banking or strategy consulting with a focus on technology

Experience in SQL/Tableau/Power BI/visualization tools

MS/MBA in business-related or quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or similar discipline)
