You are a talented Game Designer looking to build the next generation of online, multiplayer games for Oculus Quest. You excel at thinking in spreadsheets to design systems for live service games and you also love iterating on the intangible fun of moment-to-moment gameplay. You are a self-starting problem-solver with a strong vision for gameplay progression and an expert at prototyping, refining and implementing game systems that keep a variety of players coming back. You are a strong communicator who loves the iterative technical and creative process and knows when to be pragmatic and when to be blue-sky. You excel at making design and production trade-offs that align with business objectives. You’re a highly collaborative team-player, eager to roll up your sleeves to make contributions outside of your specialty.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

5+ years of game design experience and at least 2 full development cycles as a systems designer.

Experience designing, developing, and maintaining metagame systems in a live product.

Experience with gameplay mechanics and systems for freemium/F2P games, including microtransaction and social features.

Communication skills and experience making complex designs easy to understand.

Experience evaluating player engagement and optimizing game balance, player goals, and progression.

Proven experience creating innovative new systems and enhance existing ones.

Experience acting on feedback from stakeholders to iterate and improve on designs.

Experience developing work in progress, pivoting, or resetting and restarting for the best outcome.

Interest in playing games and understanding their underlying elements, particularly RPG’s and First Person Shooters.

Description(岗位职责)

Design, implement, and tune game systems including economies, player abilities, weapons, gear, customization, metagame progression, and rewards to create a fun and balanced experience.

Understand, in detail, best practices for gameplay systems based on design trends.

Prototype, playtest and iterate gameplay on a daily basis to prove the fun as early as possible.

Create clear and organized design documentation that concisely communicate requirements and success criteria.

Create simulations and data modeling of systems to measure intended results before implementation.

Work closely with the analytics team to monitor and optimize the performance of game systems in the live environment.

Review and distill down successful and unsuccessful implementations of systems and gameplay mechanics to reveal opportunities for improvement.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Strong background in VR or AR.

Experience with other aspects of design (level design, scripting, narrative, character design).
