Summary(岗位介绍)

BigBox VR is looking for a talented Senior Environment Artist to join our team. You are a seasoned and talented Environment Artist looking to build the next generation of games for Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive. You have multiple years of experience with the Unity Editor (or other 3D game engines like Unreal) and love to create beautiful and fun environments for a live-service, online game.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

Minimum 5 years of professional experience working on environment art in games.

Experience with Level Design on shipped products.

Experience creating beautiful environments with both custom and modular assets.

Hands-on experience with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, or equivalent experience.

Proven high proficiency with Photoshop, Maya/Max, Substance Designer, and ZBrush.

Possess artistic and technical expertise in scene composition, lighting, and environmental FX (bloom, color adjust, fog, etc.).

Experience utilizing material and texturing skills for a realistic art style using PBR.

Experience in realistic environments ranging from hard surface structures to organic foliage.

Experience in asset optimization challenges/techniques in a shipped product.

Experience with giving and receiving feedback.

Portfolio of highly detailed 3D art with a focus on realistic environments and a variety of subject matter (buildings, props, natural landscapes, etc.).

Experience working as part of a team on shipped projects.

Description(岗位职责)

Create content, including 3D modeling/sculpting, 2D texture map painting, material setup/UV layout, and LOD creation.

Organize, prioritize, communicate, and execute artistic features within a schedule.

Develop new environment ideas that fit within conceptual designs, technical parameters, and production goals, for a live-service online game.

Help define and maintain art production pipelines, tools, and systems to scale assets from high-end PCs to mobile Android VR headsets.

Ensure that art assets are performant, fit within their budgets for draw calls, poly counts, and texture memory limits, without compromising visual quality.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Experience in AR or VR.

Experience with Perforce and/or Git.

Experience assembling complex environments out of as few parts as possible.
