Our team’s mission is to explore, innovate and productize novel optical components and modules for future AR/VR displays. We have an ambitious roadmap to develop best-in-class optics and displays, and we are building a world-class team of experts defining the future of AR/VR. For our team, we are looking for a skilled and motivated optical coatings engineer, where you will work on the state-of-the-art thin film coatings for AR/VR products within a fast-paced environment, from concept through technology transfer to high volume manufacturing.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Material Science, or a similar field.
Knowledge of design, fabrication and metrology techniques for novel thin-film optical coatings, along with a physics-based understanding of coating-substrate material interactions.
5+ years hands-on experience in developing conventional thin film deposition technologies (thermal and electron-beam evaporation, sputtering, chemical vapor deposition) and thorough understanding of the physics and practical mechanics of these processes.
Demonstrated track record of successfully transferring into high volume manufacturing.
Knowledge and experience on hard/dip coating, roll-to-roll and nanostructure coating.
Description（岗位职责）
Lead project-level optical coating development activities: design novel thin-film coating structures to meet product specifications, and develop novel thin-film deposition process solutions to realize the thin-film coating design.
Research and identify future coating technologies and opportunities, create development plans and roadmaps for optical coatings in AR/VR space.
Work effectively with a diverse, interdisciplinary group of engineers across teams to deliver the coating solutions into our products, and identify future product needs.
Support prototype builds, line bring-up activities, and trouble-shooting coating issues as part of new process development.
Develop rigorous qualification plans and process control practices to introduce new coating designs and processes into our products in a scalable and reliable manner.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
2+ years experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar program for coating design and data analysis
10+ years of experience working on thin film coating process development, and bringing up new capabilities working with external vendors
Basic understanding of display technologies and optical components used in AR/VR products
