Summary（岗位介绍）
Next generation AR and VR devices will require new technologies that do not yet exist. If you are enthusiastic to be a part of inventing next generation technologies and have expertise in a wide range of optical systems then we would like to hear from you. We have a position researching the application of novel ideas for the control of light for AR systems. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a breadth of knowledge in optical systems including light generation techniques and light gating technologies. The successful candidate will have a practical mindset and be able to develop quickly experimental setups to assess different optical technologies.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Optical Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Fundamental knowledge of the following areas: Optics, Opto-electronics and Data analysis.
Demonstrated practical experimental experience of optical systems including optical characterization of components.
Knowledge of state-of-the-art display technologies with some experience using various display devices at a component level.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Design lab based optical characterization setups
Design prototype components for prototype AR and VR systems
Perform lab based experimentation on prototype systems
Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally to support research initiatives
Explore and develop new technologies in conjunction with external partners
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Broad range of experience in various display technologies.
Experience with Python.
Familiar with design of experiments (DOEs) and data analysis.
Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences.
