Summary（岗位介绍）
As a Liquid Crystal Fabrication Engineer at Meta, you will design, build, and test prototype liquid crystal optical devices for future consumer virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) products. You will work with a team exploring new concepts, fabricating and characterizing prototypes, and maturing the technology towards product intersection. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge in liquid crystal fabrication methods, collaborates effectively with internal and external partners, has experience scaling processes, and has strong communication skills.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Ph.D. degree in physics, chemical physics, optical science, electric engineering, materials science, or equivalent
3+ years research or industry experience with LCDs/liquid crystal devices
3+ years experience in cleanroom fabrication/prototyping
Hands-on experience of liquid crystal cleanroom prototyping processes (substrate preparation, spin coating, photolithography, wet/dry etching, thin film deposition, alignment layer processing, cell assembly)
Thin film characterization (ellipsometry), polarizing microscopy, liquid crystal characterization, optical characterization
Experience in failure analysis and solving complex technical problems
Experience with cross functional team communication and collaboration
Description（岗位职责）
Lead liquid crystal device fabrication, including owner of the entire of the LC prototyping line
Define DOEs for solving technical problems starting from the prototyping stages and into technical development and mass production
Take technical responsibility for optimizing fabrication process parameters, working in sync with optical, electrical, mechanical, and software engineers
Work with metrology engineers within and outside Meta as needed to validate the design and resolve any issues
Generate documentation, including test reports, SOPs, and engineering specifications
Incubate new technologies into high volume production
Collaborate with program management to assess and develop project schedule and milestones as well as identify risks and mitigation plans
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Working autonomously and taking initiative to manage priorities
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
5+ years research or industry experience with LCD/liquid crystal device
5+ experience with clean room fabrication processes
Experience with liquid crystal fabrication processes, including experience with high resolution electrode patterning, vacuum depositions, various LC alignment methods
Experience in electro-optical metrology of active LC devices
Experience in modeling/simulation of LC devices
