Summary（岗位介绍）
The Audio Advanced Technologies team is looking for a self-motivated and skilled Rapid Prototyping Integration Engineer to design, build, and test connected hardware devices and software interfaces that interact with them. These prototypes will be used to conduct audio perceptual research to better understand user/computer interaction and analyze device performance for AR audio devices in a range of environments.
This engineer will be responsible for enabling and maintaining a high-quality process to integrate and verify system functions. This role supports the product and NTI teams by developing prototypes, tools & infrastructure to complete system integration performance tests. This role will drive solutions on many layers of the prototype stack including SW (frontend UI, backend data analysis), embedded SW control, and hardware (EE, ME, RF) systems. Experience designing audio applications or devices is a big plus, as is experience with prototype IoT hardware such as ESP32, Arduino, NXP or other embedded system platforms.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
3+ years of experience in related hardware/software engineering disciplines
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or comparable experience
Experience working on firmware or software development for wirelessly connected hardware
Proven track record of designing 0-1 prototypes and solutions across disciplines
Experience working on a new, small team with limited guidance and high impact
Experience working across cross-functional teams and collaborate with researchers and product teams
Description（岗位职责）
Develop prototype experiences combining hardware and software technologies
Integrate existing and future prototype systems into new experiences for performance testing
Work with user research and psychophysics experts to implement scientific experiments on top of the prototyping platform
Build frontend mobile and web interfaces to enable user interaction with the system
Design and manage backend data models and analysis to enable experimental data collection
Work closely with research assistants on the execution of experiments and data collection utilizing the platform
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Masters/PhD degree in Acoustics or related field
Product engineering experience
Basic frontend, data analysis, or embedded programming skills: (MATLAB, C++, Python, JavaScript)
Embedded prototype systems experience – Arduino/C++, Protocol familiarity with i2C, I2S, IoT networking/communication – BT/Wi-Fi
Audio experimentation and test setup experience
Familiarity with Audio DSP
Experience with design, prototyping, and analysis of HW/mechatronic systems (preferably audio)
