The Applied Materials team is looking for a materials expert in foams who can bring new materials to consumer products.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in material science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, textiles, or related degree.
3+ years experience with foams development, processing and/or application in consumer products at scale.
Experience with foams related failure analysis, reliability and problem solving for production.
Efficient communication and collaboration skills.
Experience thriving in an extremely dynamic environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguous and urgent materials requirements.
Description（岗位职责）
Lead materials selection and troubleshooting projects relating to foams across all Meta devices.
Support product development engineers in the development of new technologies and remove material barriers from the path to commercialization.
Define and execute testing and evaluation of foam based materials to determine performance and drive material selection.
Define and investigate novel foam based materials to enable technology to be integrated in consumer devices.
Manage vendor, supplier, and manufacturer relationships to scale solutions for high volume manufacturing.
Support high volume production of products while taking ownership of the material selection challenges.
Work closely with the simulation, reliability, supply-chain, and other cross-functional teams to provide data and guidance.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Advanced degree in science/engineering.
3+ years experience with high tech and industry leading consumer hardware.
Experience or expertise with elastomers or soft-goods.
Understanding of biocompatibility and regulatory requirements for skin-contact applications.
