Summary（岗位介绍）
As an Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, build, and test prototype electrical systems for future consumer virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) devices. We want someone who works well in teams, works in new technology areas, drives concepts into a prototype, and transition prototypes into high-volume consumer products. We’re looking for a board level Electrical Engineer with system experience who has launched high volume consumer products. The systems will have custom ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs from simple to large, displays, camera sensors, and high speed I/O. Familiarity with CAD tools like Cadence OrCAD, Altium, SPICE, or ModelSim is required. The ideal candidate is comfortable designing mixed high-speed digital circuit boards, experienced in troubleshooting at the board and system level, have experience with driving displays, work collaboratively with experts in different fields to make architectural tradeoffs, and be familiar with the consumer product development process.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of experience working on complex electrical engineering designs from prototype to manufacture
Experience in schematic and board layout using Altium, Cadence, or equivalent
Experience with circuit simulations & modeling (e.g. SPICE, MATLAB)
Experience in DC-DC power conversion
Experience in analog signal conditioning and data conversion (ADC/DAC)
Experience using oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, and function generators
Experience with communication interfaces, such as MIPI, USB, I2C, and SPI
Experience writing system and device specifications
Demonstrated experience working independently, managing priorities, and demonstrates aptitude for creative problem solving
Experience working closely with third party vendors to develop system components and drive towards challenging requirements
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description（岗位职责）
Design schematics, drive board layouts, assembly, test, debug, and integrate designs into electro-optical systems
Optimize architecture and circuits for performance, power/signal integrity, and battery life
Take technical responsibility for the power circuit design, simulation, validation, and characterization ensuring successful delivery
Create architecture, functional requirements, engineering specifications documents
Lead lab measurements and factory test debug as needed to validate the design and resolve any issues
Incubate new technologies into high volume production
Lead the electrical design and development of systems for mass production in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment
Transform vendor reference designs into custom solution
Collaborate with system program management to assess and develop project schedule and milestones as well as identify risks and mitigation plan
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Working autonomously and taking initiative to manage priorities
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field
7+ years of industry experience
Experience in programming languages such as Python or C/C++
Circuit design experience in high speed differential circuits, Verilog/FPGAs, uControllers, uProcessors, firmware, and programmable logic based development
Familiarity with VR/AR systems or wearable low-power or portable electronic devices
Experience with electrical systems for liquid crystal display technologies
