The Applied Materials team of Reality Labs seeks an Electrochemistry Materials Engineer with the ability to work on groundbreaking electrochemistry technologies for AR and VR devices.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other relevant degree.
5+ years of experience with electrochemistry, plating and printing thin film metals.
Experience with characterization of thin film metals.
Experience working in large cross-functional projects teams.
Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment and managing ambiguity.
Experience working with suppliers in Asia.
Description（岗位职责）
Understand the Reality Lab’s product roadmap and identify risks and opportunities related to electrochemistry, plating, printing and other surface metallization technologies.
Drive development of novel plating technologies to enable new capabilities in future consumer devices, either internally or with external partners.
Support technical program leaders in the development of new technologies and remove material barriers from the path to commercialization of cutting edge AR/VR devices.
Work with cross functional teams and provide electrochemistry and plating expertise throughout the full hardware development cycle.
Understand function and interaction of different metal layers and their impact to various substrate materials.
Define and execute testing and evaluation of materials to determine performance and drive material selection.
Design and set up new test vehicles either in-house or at vendor site when needed to evaluate and select materials.
Seamlessly transition materials technology to high volume production at suppliers.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrochemistry, Chemistry, or other relevant degree.
10+ years of experience with electrochemistry, plating, deposition and printing thin film metals.
Experience with PCB fabrication.
Experience with anodization of aluminum.
