The Reality Labs (RL) team at Meta is developing future products in augmented reality and virtual reality with cutting-edge tech development and research that will enable groundbreaking experiences for consumers and businesses.
As a Technical Program Manager in RL, you will play a key role driving highly cross functional programs for our product lines – Oculus and Portal as well as the technology developed by Experiences and Assistant which powers our devices. These programs span across hardware engineering, software engineering and operations. Our team is diverse; comprising varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans.
We look at relevant experience as well as demonstrated abilities. Meta’s RL organization is constantly redefining what is possible, and we need technical program managers that can do the same.
This position has a 24-week duration. All candidates are expected to commit to a consecutive 24-week timeframe for successful completion of the program. At the end of the term, those participants who have demonstrated their ability to succeed and make an impact at Meta will be considered for a full-time position. Roles are filled as candidates are identified.
This program is open to all candidates who have relevant professional experience and have been out of the workforce for 2 years or longer immediately prior to the start of the program. Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in an engineering field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of software engineering, systems engineering and/or technical program management experience working with cross-functional teams. Communication skills to inform progress and to influence technical teams to deliver against org-wide goals
Organizational and coordination skills. Multi-tasking capabilities
Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of software or hardware development processes and best practices
Knowledge of project and issue tracking systems
Must have work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description（岗位职责）
Drive on-time delivery of technical programs that solve challenging problems by identifying goals, understanding cross functional dependencies, defining milestones, assessing risk and issues, and identifying resource requirements
Drive alignment in ambiguous or contentious areas to inform product decisions
Create and execute an operating structure for successful delivery of programs by collaborating extensively within TPM and with cross-functional engineering teams
Identify process improvements to optimize workflow and promote best practices
Develop and execute a communication plan for informing and aligning the cross-functional team and stakeholders at different levels of the organization
