Summary(岗位介绍)
We are currently seeking innovative Research Scientists with experience in CMOS IC design to develop advanced display architecture to pave the path to the next generation of near-to-eye augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) displays. This is a full-time position and requires an advanced degree in electrical engineering or similar and a strong background in CMOS digital/analog IC design using advanced process nodes. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional, and fast-paced team.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or similar.
5+ years of working expertise in CMOS digital/analog or mix-mode IC circuit design and chip tape out at advanced process nodes.
5+ years of working experience in CMOS design tools of Cadence spice simulation/layout, device and PDK modeling, parasitic extraction.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Description(岗位职责)
Identify microdisplay backplane technologies for AR/VR application
track and understand the state-of-art panel design, electronic architecture, driving scheme, integrated circuitry, and interface technology.
Lead effort in exploring new microdisplay CMOS backplane architecture scoping and design optimization to improve display performance attribute
conduct necessary circuit analysis, layout optimization, and SPICE modeling & simulation to validate both electrical and optical performance on the proposed panel electronics architecture and design.
Define an electrical architecture that enables the best display performance through total system optimization and optimization of each key component, including pixel design, active matrix addressing, integrated circuits, power architecture, driver/panel interface, and high-speed interface from a host system.
Effectively communicate architecture and design, shepherding the technologies to external suppliers and internal product roadmaps.
Adaptable at working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and flexible environment to deliver solutions that far outperform current state-of-the-art.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and proven track record in the design, development of active-matrix displays, panel design & electronics, and simulation and development of Silicon process and devices.
Demonstrated experience in incubating ideas in display research and seeing them through to volume commercialization.
Experience in process and device development, testing, and validation.
Considerable technical skills in display electronics, optics, physics, systems engineering, image/color processing, graphics.
Experience in coaching and mentoring others in the team.
Strong presentation and communication skills, strong interpersonal skills in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
