Summary（岗位介绍）
Meta’s Reality Labs team is looking for a Battery Product Design Engineer to develop battery modules for our industry-leading virtual and augmented reality systems. You will establish battery pack requirements with internal and external partners and own the design of the electro-mechanical integration into the final system.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience with battery pack design and integration
5+ years of experience with design and release processes in 3D CAD packages such as Siemens NX/Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.
Knowledge of Li-ion cell design and the various processes involved in manufacturing lithium-ion battery cells and pack architectures
Experience with high volume manufacturing programs and their milestones (from Proof of Concept to Mass Production)
Experience with plastic molded parts, sheet metal design, and CNC design rules
Experience with PCB/flex design and integration
Description（岗位职责）
Ownership of battery pack integration including: the design and release of parts, assemblies, and final assembly integration techniques to ensure a successful product launch
Define cell and pack requirements with product engineering teams to find the best options for product volume, weight, and run time
Develop test and validation plans for manufacturing and characterizing battery packs
Support module and system reliability testing with internal and external organizations
Provide build support during New Product Introduction activities to ensure that manufacturing processes meet design intent
Work with safety, reliability, operations, and other cross functional partners to integrate the battery into the final system
Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews with suppliers
Create statistical tolerance, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing analyses
Conduct rigorous failure, root cause, and corrective action analyses
Travel to cell/pack vendors for component and sub-assembly builds
Support final assembly activities at supplier sites to ensure the proper integration of the battery into the final system
Support the sourcing team on cost analysis, supplier audits, and market analysis
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with battery protection modules and safety standards
