Qualifications(岗位要求)

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and working across engineering organizations
  • 5+ years of people management experience

Preferred and Additional Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in an area that aligns with our product engineering deliverables like electrical, mechanical, optical or some combination.
  • Experience with consumer electronics (or similar) from the design to high volume manufacturing. This includes working with worldwide partners and suppliers like Tier 1, Tier 1.5, and Tier 2, ODMs, camera module integrators, etc.
  • Experience in quality and design verification as a discipline
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal
  • Applied data and statistical analysis as it applies to consumer and electronic product manufacturing
  • Experience in failure analysis
  • Logical and creative thinker
  • Understanding of software development best practices and methods
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills as well as the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and independently
  • Experience in image sensor technologies
  • Understanding of basic optics
  • Understanding of ITAR processes and procedures

Background Check and Security Clearance

  1. The salary range for this role is from $144,600 to $216,000

Description(岗位职责)

The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, partnering management.

The candidate must have experience and understanding of test and quality processes in the development of hardware, specifically as it pertains to the development and delivery of sensors and camera modules for mixed reality (MR) devices. MR sensors and cameras must meet a range of critical-to-quality (CTQ) requirements over a range of reliability, stress, and environmental conditions. The candidate will have clear accountability and be responsible for team leadership and management, product quality, and process improvement. The candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the engineering team to design in quality from the early phases of programs. Advising other engineers on developments in innovation of test methodology applied to existing product lines as well as reviewing others’ test verification methodologies.
  • Advises engineering management and teams on how to set up and break down testing environment and calibrate test equipment. Outlines safety and testing guidelines for engineers across teams.
  • Leads and defines content and metrics included in the creation of dashboards or reports and establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for testing and quality metrics. Example would be to go to a Power BI Dashboard to see summary of test results, pass/fail, trends, etc.
  • Manages a team to deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
  • Drive and manage recruiting and interviewing process for both FTEs and Vendors.
  • Manages the development of various automated testing solutions developed by team. Reviews testing solutions and collected data. Seeks out opportunities for automation.
  • Recommends types of test equipment required for measuring features of product technology. Recommends the purchase of new test equipment. Drives test strategy across team and organization to accomplish testing goals.
  • Will have close relationships and work in lock-step with the program management team.
  • Developing and reviewing test plans from individual components to increasing integrated system level complexity and along with the development of customer and field level test plans. Test plans that include clearly defined procedures, testing coverage, statistical coverage, equipment, and design of experiment coverage conditions like environmental conditions, thermal, stress, etc.
  • Building strong relationships and regular communication with partner teams like system engineering, customer integrity, reliability, factory management, and 3rd party suppliers
  • Helping to put together summary of test data, reviewing data, statistical analysis, data reporting, and analytics
  • Developing schedule / milestones and managing the team to deliver against these plans.
  • Exercising judgement and being aware of return on investment of tasks with the ability to be adaptable and flexible to changing requirements as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize work, make difficult tradeoff decisions. Keeping a pulse across the program at a system level to flow down priorities and requirements effectively to the test team.
