Meta is building tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere. We are looking for a talented Haptics Supplier Quality Engineer to help us to build next generation Haptic Modules for our products. As part of Reality Labs Haptics Quality team, you will be a key member to work closely with XFN teams to manage all quality issues at vendor factories, setup world class quality control plan and quality system, and also deliver world class quality products for downstream. We are working together to create the future. In this role, you will take the responsibility to make sure the product quality purchased from suppliers can meet the requirements defined by Reality Labs. You shall have the expertise in terms of technology and manufacturing process for the haptic modules. You will also take the responsibilities of quality assurance to make sure the haptic module design, assembly and testing process can meet the requirements defined by Reality Labs in the contract manufacturer site in the development stage as well as mass production phase.

Qualifications（岗位要求）

BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering is required.

6+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering in consumer electronics with relevant work experience, Haptics design and process development experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of different kind of Haptics manufacturing processes with an understanding of equipment and methodologies commonly used in the industry.

Experience with process control on laser welding, UV and automatic optical inspection.

Hands-on experience on Haptics tester qualification and test item correlation.

Understand how to define the reliability test plan to do quality risk assessment for Haptics at component level.

Hands-on experience on Haptics test at system level with driver IC and have the capability to identify the root cause to fix the failure.

Proven experience with failure analysis of field returns.

Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, GR&R, DoE, metrology, GD&T, and Correlation studies.

Experience with doing data analysis using Excel, Minitab, or JMP.

Good communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Good at identifying risk and developing solid plans to mitigate

Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% to local and global locations.

Description（岗位职责）

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for overall Haptic module quality within the supply chain from Tier3 To Tier1 vendors.

Establish and execute quality control plans, setup, qualifications for IQC, IPQC, PQC, OQC, ORT at vendors for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered.

Drive Ok2X process for build readiness review with XFN teams.

Work with XFN teams on defining module yield targets, drive yield reports, FA, Corrective Action (CA) implementation plan, and yield bridge to mass production.

Collaborated with engineer and REL team on publishing module level REL criteria, setup and drive execution, FA at vendors.

Drive Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) activities with vendors and provide technical support in enhancing process capability and solving technical issues.

Identify equipment, fixture, and tooling needs and drive implementation efforts to qualify and optimize the manufacturing process.

Responsible for conducting Design/Process FMEA, Failure analysis, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control.

Knowledgeable in conducting DOEs, Line qualification, Machine Buy-off, Cycle Time & UPH studies, and Automation.

The SQE will work closely with the engineering team to understand product design intent and then be a major part of supplier identification and selection.

Develop and institutionalize our vendor and supplier selection process.

Evaluate prospective vendors for process capability based on project needs.

Responsible for supplier quality management with a focus on assessing supplier production and quality controls, evaluating supplier readiness, and adherence to module quality plan.

Partner with Engineering to define product acceptance plans based on PRD.

Collaborate with Suppliers and Engineering teams in assessing, proposing, and developing process technologies based on project requirements.

Additional Requirements（额外要求）

Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of experience.

Project management experience and proven track record of creative problem-solving in an unambiguous environment.

Have Ownership/Leadership mindset with an ability to be in a leadership position and achieve results with minimal supervision.
