We seek a Technical Program Manager (TPM) who possesses strong knowledge in Lithium-Ion battery development as well as good understanding of battery cell, pack, PCM/BMU, and flex manufacturing processes for consumer electronics devices. In this role, you will partner with our suppliers, CMs, battery engineering team, along with other multidisciplinary teams, to explore, develop, and deliver new cutting-edge battery solutions into AR, VR, Portal, and Wearable products. You will also lead build planning and execution, managing subsystem schedules, and identifying / tracking risks and associated mitigations. You will be responsible for communication of the program status, build status, and top risks to the US based TPM team for key stakeholder and executive leadership communication. This role will be based in our Shanghai or Shenzhen office, though site locations will vary.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required
BS in mechanical, electrical, or other relevant engineering discipline, physics, or equivalent experience
3+ years experience as an engineering / technical program manager role managing consumer electronics hardware programs from concept to mass production
2+ years experience working on Battery HW Module projects
Understanding of phase gate approach to New Product Introduction development projects
Hands-on engineering program management experience driving system and module level development as an individual contributor (especially in Mainland China)
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
Description(岗位职责)
Coordinate build activities from prototype through ramp in collaboration with the APAC engineering and operations teams
manage NTI/NPI sample deliveries.
Effectively communicate build statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with and train suppliers (foreign and domestic) to enforce development schedules, OK2X process, and quality manufacturing required during product development (Proto, EVT, and DVT).
Travel within Mainland China with some travel to Asia Pacific region and US.
Interface directly with supplier teams to drive development, including DFM, tooling/fixture processes, FAI/CPK qualification, reliability, production and shipment.
Drive FA/RC/CA and DOE activities at suppliers and CMs.
Participate in scoping and roadmap definition for next generation battery modules.
Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, design options, and test plans.
Manage development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs.
Assist engineering and sourcing teams with supplier evaluation and selection.
Ensure program documents delivered by vendors are complete, current, and available for XFN team and leadership review.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience working with CM/JDM/ODM suppliers and previous Tier 1 battery cell and pack supplier coordination and interaction.
Experience with Lithium-Ion battery pack assembly processes.
Lithium-Ion cell chemistry knowledge.
Consumer electronics battery pack and cell safety certification testing, validation testing, system integration qualification, and establishing requirements.
