Reality Labs (RL) Sensors Team at Meta is helping build novel products in Augmented and Virtual Reality. Our team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge sensing technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products at Meta. We are looking for candidates with experience in ultrasonic sensing for 3D imaging and time-of-flight detection to assist with the development of novel hardware and software systems within the RL Sensors Team, while collaborating with experts across multiple domains.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a background in ultrasonic sensing systems
4+ years of experience in design and development of ultrasonic sensing systems for remote sensing and 3D imaging
Demonstrated experience with ultrasonic imaging, beam forming, and/or 3D image reconstruction techniques
Familiarity with signal processing techniques, signal-to-noise ratio analysis, link-budget analysis, detection and estimation theory
Hands-on experience in bring-up, debug, and testing of ultrasonic sensing systems using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
Demonstrated interpersonal experience in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Description(岗位职责)
Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across Facebook to develop novel hardware and software products that advance the state-of-the-art in AR/VR systems
Collaborate with internal and external research, design, and engineering teams to develop ultrasonic sensing solutions that advance the state-of-the-art
Work with the team to help design, setup, and run practical experiments related to ultrasonic sensing systems
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a background in ultrasonic sensing systems
Experience modeling acoustic systems using software platforms such as kWave, ANSYS, or COMSOL
Experience in scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python
Experience in implementing multi-modal sensor fusion and modern Machine Learning algorithms on sensor systems
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by patents or first-authored publications
Familiarity with the emerging Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies
High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving skills
