Summary(岗位介绍)

Ready At Dawn is looking for a Lead Environment Model/Layout Artist to join us in creating high profile original titles in VR, ranging from social and competitive multiplayer to character driven action and adventure single-player games.

In this role, you will be guiding talented Environment Modelers as your team develops and executes the artistic vision of our game environments. You will also collaborate with other art and design groups to see the game from initial concept to complete, polished form. The ideal candidate can effectively set the tone for the team through artistic execution, problem solving, and inter/intra department communication.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

Industry experience as a Lead Environment Artist.

Industry experience as an Environment Artist in high and low resolution modeling, modular kit creation, and world building/layout.

Experience with spatial sense and an eye for composition.

Experience working in real-time game engines and solid understanding of optimization for memory and framerate.

A professional portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of both technical and artistic execution of Environment Art.

Experience in both giving and receiving creative and technical critique.

Description(岗位职责)

Collaborate with other art and design disciplines to help guide the Environment Modeling team through pre-production tests and ideation, as well as production execution.

Work closely with the Art Lead and Art Director to set high-level goals and directions for project environments.

Work with Environment Artists to manage day-to-day tasks and communications.

Provide feedback and mentorship to team members and support them in their career growth

including regular, scheduled one-to-one meetings and annual reviews.

Serve as an advocate for the Environment Modeling team, guiding artists through both mentorship and critique, training and team building, refinements of process and techniques, and candidate recruiting and hiring.

Coordinate with Production, Environment Modeling team and other disciplines to define team goals, action plans, and schedules for the project. Balance project goals and scope against time and resources and track them through development.

Work closely with the tech art team to implement pipeline standards and innovations. Work with artists to enforce and maintain those standards.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Experience using Maya, ZBrush, Houdini, and Substance suite.

Experience designing and building assets and levels for games in virtual reality.
