As a Physical Chemist at Meta, you will take a critical role in developing AR/VR systems. You will focus on developing advanced materials and devices for near eye displays, and will become part of a team exploring novel concepts through design, modeling and fast iterative prototyping. We are seeking someone who works well in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, who communicates complex concepts clearly and succinctly, who demonstrates scientific rigor, who is unafraid to tackle new challenges, and who works well in high-ambiguity discovery phases. Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in physical chemistry, chemical engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Experience with development of technologies across different fields within Physics and Chemistry.
Hands-on experience in prototyping.
Knowledge of engineering-based first principles.
High levels of creativity and quick problem solving capabilities.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Assess engineering problems from both a chemist and physicist perspective
Drive design of experiments to resolve problems
Direct simulation efforts
Understand and anticipate approaches and limitations
Support the development of initial designs and prototypes
Readily develop depth and breadth of new technologies
Collaborate in a team environment across a diverse set of disciplines including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics and Optics
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Postdoctoral experience in two different technical fields related to physical chemistry or chemical engineering.
Experience fabricating microdevices or active devices.
Experience in organic chemistry.
Experience in technology innovation.
Experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by product launches, grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at top-tier journals or leading conferences.
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment.
