Summary（岗位介绍）
As a Physical Chemist at Meta, you will take a critical role in developing AR/VR systems. You will focus on developing advanced materials and devices for near eye displays, and will become part of a team exploring novel concepts through design, modeling and fast iterative prototyping. We are seeking someone who works well in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, who communicates complex concepts clearly and succinctly, who demonstrates scientific rigor, who is unafraid to tackle new challenges, and who works well in highly ambiguous discovery phases. Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of physical chemistry, chemical engineering or relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Experience with development of technologies across different fields within Physics and Chemistry.
Hands on experience in prototyping.
Knowledge of engineering-based first principles.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Assess engineering problems from a chemist and physicist perspective.
Drive design of experiments to resolve problems.
Direct simulation efforts.
Understand and anticipate approaches and limitations.
Support the development of initial designs and prototypes.
Readily develop depth and breadth of new technologies.
Collaborate in a team environment across a diverse set of disciplines including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics and Optics.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience in technology innovation.
Experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python.
Experience in both polymer physics and polymer chemistry.
Experience developing active devices.
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences.
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment.
