Our team explores, develops, and delivers cutting-edge scene understanding technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future Reality Labs products. Planar surfaces serve as the basic building blocks for many scene understanding tasks. For the internship, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple interesting topics on the planar scene understanding problem, for example, plane surface reconstruction from temporal image sequences and data-efficient detection networks using semi-supervised learning.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a MS degree in the field of Computer Science, Computer Vision, or a related field.
Knowledge in one or more of the following research fields: Scene/Semantic Understanding, Multi-View Geometry.
Strong track record with significant publications in top computer vision conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, etc.) or journals.
Experience with Python and PyTorch.
Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
High levels of creativity and quick problem solving capabilities.
Description(岗位职责)
Read and understand technical papers on specific scene understanding, computer vision, and deep learning topics.
Perform research on scene understanding by developing prototypes based on state-of-the-art algorithms and approaches and extending those approaches to address the specific needs of AR/VR platforms.
Conduct analyses of the algorithms and prototypes being researched and developed.
Communicate plans, progress, and results to the team and the broader organization.
Write software to implement, evaluate, and visualize the algorithms and prototypes.
Collaborate with other engineers and researchers across various disciplines.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Computer Vision, or a related field.
Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
Deep domain knowledge in self- and semi-supervised machine learning techniques for visual recognition and scene understanding.
Experience in applying machine learning / deep learning in the multi-view geometry domain (e.g. Stereo, Depth Estimation, Visual Localization).
Demonstrated software engineer experience (via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, etc).
