We are seeking a summer intern to support RF systems design, testing and validation for VR, AR and Portal product team. In this role, you will be a key member of a team of innovators, working on leading edge wireless technologies and developing architecture to enable the future of AR/VR HW a reality. You will be closely partnering with other RF engineers on the team, as well as other teams such as EE, ME, SW, etc. We are looking for someone with passion for hardware development, including working in a fast paced and hands-on environment to ship state of the art products under tight deadlines.

This is an internship position based in Sunnyvale, CA. Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

Qualifications（岗位要求）

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Masters in RF/Electromagnetic field

Experience with Wi-Fi/BT, or other major RF technologies implementation

Knowledge of RF fundamentals and design knowledge.

Familiar with RF lab test equipment for device characterization and component/system performance validation.

Experienced with SW programming skills including Python.

Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Description（岗位职责）

Work on exciting forward-looking wireless shipping products.

Work with the lead engineer on RF system design and optimization to meet RF KPIs.

Responsible for performing RF conducted as well as over the air testing.

Work with lead engineer on debug and root causing any issue encountered during the testing.

Work with lead engineer to help on RF Test automation and contribute to improve and optimize the existing dashboard for the data visualization.

Work with lead engineer to do EMI simulation.

Work with lead engineer to work on RF system architecture and create visible SW tools for RF system architecture design.

Additional Requirements（额外要求）

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in RF/Electromagnetic Field

Understanding of wireless standards such as 5G NR, Wi-Fi, BT, GNSS, UWB.

Working knowledge of Wi-Fi and BT protocol at MAC level.

Familiarity with RF Circuit, layout, schematic and simulation software like Cadence Tools, ADS, CST, HFSS etc.

Strong understanding in EM theory and EM simulation.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FCC, CE etc.)

2+ years experience with python programming skills

Coding experience of creating SW UI.

Self-motivated engineer with good task execution skills to deliver high quality output in timely manner

Solid communication and documentation skills.

Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
