The Reality Lab (RL) Packaging Team is focused on delivering consumer product packaging for all RL products (Quest, Portal, Wearables, Accessories and new devices). We focus on packaging that is sustainable, design-focused, and enhances the customer experience.
The RL Packaging team seeks a Technical Program Manager who has a passion for the packaging industry. As the packaging TPM, you will be responsible for collecting cross-functional inputs to support the team in designing, validating, and delivering product packaging at scale. You have a passion for problem solving and finding creative solutions to help our team accomplish bold things. The products we work on help connect the world closer together and we contribute with each box we design.
This position has a 6 month duration. All candidates are expected to commit to a consecutive 6 month timeframe for successful completion of the program. At the end of the term, those participants who have demonstrated their ability to succeed and make an impact at Meta will be considered for a full-time position. Roles are filled as candidates are identified.
This program is open to all candidates who have relevant professional experience and have been out of the workforce for 2 years or longer immediately prior to the start of the program. Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in engineering or knowledge of engineering design process
3+ years of hands-on program management experience
Experience working with external suppliers for consumer goods
Description（岗位职责）
Technical Program Manager for RL packaging products including Virtual Reality, Portal, accessories and/or new devices
Lead collaboration with industrial design, engineering, creative, legal, product management, compliance, and operations to realize packaging vision
Drive the execution of the packaging schedule and manage the day to day activities of the program
Operate at different levels of abstraction from high level strategic planning to tactical project management including task prioritization and delineation of schedules, milestones, and key deliverables
Break down the technical complexities of programs to enable clear understanding of scope and deliverables to a wider audience of leadership, core team members, and cross-functional partners
Present program milestones and updates to leadership, distilling key program information and highlighting risks
Collaborate closely with APAC vendors for packaging builds
If offered a full-time role at the conclusion of the program, the full-time position requires up to ~20% travel domestically and internationally
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
BS in mechanical, packaging, or structural engineering or knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes
Experience driving packaging structural development or print production as an individual contributor
Experience with consumer electronics design cycles
