For AR/VR communication to be a success, it has to continue the tradition of phone and video calling: you’re hearing and seeing what the other person sounds and looks like. Our goal is to create a truly photographic experience for communication. For this, we are exploring ways to render a digital representation of a user that is high fidelity and highly realistic. And to do this Facebook is exploring completely new ways of thinking about rendering.
In this position, we are looking for someone who can understand and integrate a variety of rendering technologies to produce an easy-to-create, fast-to-execute, representation of dynamic digital assets (animatable objects and virtual characters). Our approach will combine traditional rendering, neural radiance field and image-to-image translation techniques, leveraging the strengths of each to create a photorealistic digital human. We believe that combining these techniques will require advances in rendering techniques as well as the underlying geometric representations. This role is designed with a long-term exploration in both directions in mind, to develop the new industry standards for capturing, simulating and rendering high quality virtual assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer graphics, rendering and machine learning techniques.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Description(岗位职责)
Designing and developing new techniques for creating static and dynamic object and scene representations
Implementing optimization and rendering code for classical path tracing and rasterization techniques, as well as coordinate-based light field models
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience with some high level shading languages (RSL, OSL, HLSL, AZSL), Python, CUDA C, C++, PyTorch
