Summary（岗位介绍）
At Reality Labs, our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern with experience in wearable system design and hands-on prototyping who can work with a team of researchers to design, integrate, and characterize prototype wearable bioinstrumentation systems in our Burlingame Office.
Our internships are sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of mechanical engineering or related discipline.
2+ years of mechanical design/prototyping experience.
Experience with data acquisition and analysis.
Experience with mechanical CAD tools such as NX or Solidworks.
Experience across a range of manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, silicone molding, etc.).
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Rapid prototyping of mechanical components and systems, including designing in CAD, fabricating, assembling, and integrating into a system.
Characterization of biomechanical, mechanical, and opto-mechanical systems.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
Experience with wearables, soft goods, flexible systems, elastomers, or textiles.
Experience in human-machine interfaces, wearable biosensors, biomechanical systems, or similar.
