Our Operational Excellence (OpEx) team develops and champions best-in-class processes and tools that enable our teams to bring new technologies to market faster in products our customers love. What we develop is used by thousands of extremely talented members of our technical teams to develop, integrate and launch new technologies, realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.
As a Technical Program Manager, Operational Excellence at RL, you will leverage your experience in developing and launching new technologies and products including playbooks the teams use to develop game changing technology and deliver innovative products to the market. We are looking for someone who has the experience and judgement required to help us further evolve our Technology Development Processes and land durable mechanisms to ensure our technology development integrates well with our Product Development Process (PDP). You will also lead and contribute to initiatives further developing our PDP. This will be an extremely influential position in our organization, collaborating with key leads across Engineering, TPM, Product Management and others to improve our development processes. Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and a systematic approach to problem solving are required.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
10+ years experience of technical product/program management, systems engineering, or hardware engineering experience, with a substantial portion focused on technical program.
Experience with phase gate approach to product development.
Communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience processing, identifying, and evangelizing best practices and strategizing playbooks. Systematic approach to problem-solving and a focus on driving continuous improvement in large organizations.
Experience in scoping and shipping products that include complex and innovative hardware and software, such as consumer electronics, medical devices, etc.
Description（岗位职责）
Drive continuous improvement of our technology development processes across our organization, including their integration with our PDP. Rally cross functional teams to identify problem statements and drive the implementation of solutions addressing those challenges. Engage partners from Engineering, Design, Product Management and Supply Chain/Operations to ensure our Technology Development Processes encompass all of their needs and supports each in successfully developing and launching groundbreaking technologies in our products.
Build improvements to our PDP and flexible processes to ensure our TPMs and teams have the tools they need to navigate complex technology and product trade offs during development. This includes processes that drive more robust schedules for technology integration, advanced resource planning for technology development, and improved clarity in risk assessment and risk management.
Bring new insights to the development of our PDP and lead initiatives to further evolve our product development processes.
Partner with technical leads to further evolve and evangelize our technology development processes, including our technology lifecycle and New Technology Introduction (NTI) processes.
Coach and train new TPMs on our technology development best practices, processes and tools that will help them effectively run projects in our organization.
Effectively communicate progress on your initiatives, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies.
