At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Human Factors Research Engineer to join our multidisciplinary research team, whose mission is to advance the state of wearable interaction devices. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience guiding R&D projects towards productization and who can work with a team of researchers in a wide range of fields including: haptics, psychophysics, silicon packaging, textiles, elastomers, and more! More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
MS in Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Applied Psychology, other related technical field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of cross-functional product development experience with demonstration of enabling novel technologies.
Experience with creating comfort and wearability assessment infrastructure (tools and methods) to accelerate hardware design space understanding.
Experience with designing research and assessment roadmaps to drive improvements in comfort and wearability.
Description（岗位职责）
Identify gaps, develop plans, and instigate new projects that define and track the relevant metrics for improving the wearability of smart devices.
Autonomously drive and influence device architecture through the creation of prototypes that demonstrate the tradeoffs between user needs, device wearability, and device performance.
Partner with research, hardware engineering, and design teams to create material, component, system, and subsystem requirements for wearable devices.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience leading research roadmap that proactively understands hardware design constraints/requirements.
Experience working on wrist wearables.
Experience collecting and analyzing self-reported, physiological, and behavioral data.
