Summary（岗位介绍）
As an Audio Strategic Sourcing Technical Lead for Meta’s Reality Labs, your job will focus on building technology partnerships that accelerate the introduction of new consumer hardware products and metaverse-driven experiences. You will be part of a fast-moving team that explores advanced audio technology to push the boundary of acoustic performance in novel product form factors. Working with engineers from RL’s audio engineering teams, you will lead collaboration opportunities with industry partners ranging from startups, universities, to established corporations. Key responsibilities include managing strategic relationships with key partners in the industry, negotiating contract agreements and pricing, leading supplier selection efforts (RFP/RFI), influencing technology roadmaps at Meta and at industry partners, and driving the incorporation of NTI results into Meta product roadmaps.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS degree
10+ years experience working in audio technology development
5+ years experience working in consumer hardware products
Proficiency on general acoustic technology principles
Experience working on both strategy and execution in a hardware development environment
Experience operating in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Leadership and program management experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, complex environments
Experience communicating with and influencing all levels of management to reach consensus on strategic initiatives as well as tactical plans of action
Demonstrated experience interfacing with and establishing commercial and technical relationships with senior management at suppliers and/or industry partners
Experience in supplier evaluation/selection (RFP/RFI) and developing sourcing strategies
Description（岗位职责）
Build relationship with key industry partners to enable collaboration with Meta on audio technology development
Manage strategic relationships with the executive leadership at industry partners
Identify new partners for technology exploration and development
Negotiate and execute development agreements, master supply agreements, statements of work, and other critical contracts
Secure mass-production capacity to support RL product demand and drive partner to grow capacity where necessary
Negotiate competitive pricing from partners to enable successful incorporation of audio technology into RL products
Lead supplier plan-of-record (SPOR) alignment discussions with audio cross-functional partners
Establish partner selection framework and criteria for RFP/RFI specific to NTI initiatives
Work in conjunction with Meta’s audio engineering team to develop a sourcing strategy and NTI roadmap that enable development of cutting-edge audio technology and incorporate such technology into RL product roadmap
Influence technology roadmaps and collaborate with industry partners to ensure Meta’s technical and commercial requirements are fully met
Provide commercial support to meet audio engineering team’s NTI roadmap objectives
Drive NTI exploratory discussions with Meta’s audio engineering team and potential industry partners, including setting up technology evaluations and managing
Manage NTI investments end-to-end, from initial exploration to validation completion
Continually benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated into Meta’s supply chain
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
PhD degree in an engineering discipline
MBA and/or MS degree in supply chain, engineering or operations management
5+ years of strategic sourcing experience in audio or other electromechanical commodities
Experience with price negotiations, with focus on NRE and mass-production manufacturing costs
Experience negotiating a range of development and master supply contracts, with focus on complex intellectual property provisions and R&D investments
Experience identifying manufacturing bottlenecks and driving capacity expansion plans
