Summary(岗位介绍)

BigBox VR, makers of POPULATION: ONE, is seeking a VFX Artist looking to build the next generation of games for Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive. You have multiple years of experience with the Unity Editor (or other 3D game engines like Unreal) and love to create beautiful and fun environments for a live-service, online game.

We are looking for an effective communicator who loves the iterative creative process. This person will have the desire to understand a product holistically and can contribute creatively, knowing when to be pragmatic and when to be blue sky. This person will make art trade-offs that align with business objectives while embracing teamwork, as well as solve problems independently.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

Minimum 6 years of experience working in VFX and Technical Art for games or film

Extensive game engine experience (Unity, Unreal)

Working knowledge of Maya and Unity as well as Photoshop, Premier, and Substance

Experience creating and implementing VFX

Experience structuring an appropriate VFX workflow/pipeline that fits our current production environment

Experience rigging and creating rigs for characters

Experience creating scripts and plugins with MEL or Python

Knowledge of current and next-generation art techniques, and fundamental art principles

Experience delivering high-quality visuals while following memory and performance targets

Experience creating, evaluating, and improving PBR game materials and textures

Experience in high and low-poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, texturing and material creation

Experience profiling performance and memory within game engines

Collaborate with art, design, and engineering teams to create, iterate and polish VFX

Strong communicator who loves the iterative, creative, and technical process

Must embrace teamwork, as well as be able to solve problems and work independently

Ability to suggest clear methods of improvement for visual quality and performance

Possess the ability to solve various technical issues flexibly and quickly

Create, optimize, implement and manage VFX assets

Set up, maintain and support workflows of art production

Create tools, plugins, and scripts to support and optimize existing asset creation pipeline

Create and maintain character rigs and provide rigging and animation pipeline support

Maintain and adhere to a consistent art style provided by project leads

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Shader development experience

Experience in physics simulations

Experience creating materials in Substance Designer

Experience in C++

Experience with procedural content creation software like Houdini and Substance Suite

Background in animation, character art, and/or traditional art

Experience in VR or Mobile pipelines
