Summary(岗位介绍)

As the head of the Applications and Entertainment vertical in the new Metaverse Content Org with a mandate to inflect content verticals beyond gaming, you will support the vision and shape the strategy to incubate, develop, grow and scale developing content categories and ecosystems.

You will support leaders of these teams who are creating a content sourcing and funding strategy, planning and executing release slates, building relationships with marquee IP holders, reviewing/evaluating assets, defining and running a funding greenlight program, overseeing the development of funded experiences, and working with partners to take finished products to market.

As a part of the Metaverse Content leadership team, you will also coordinate and drive this team’s involvement and engagement with cross-functional groups within the Metaverse org and across the Oculus and FRL (Facebook Reality Labs) organizations. Coming into this role, you will have the ability to quickly build strong executive relationships and partnerships across multiple internal cross functional groups including product, marketing, and BD/Legal, oversee the creation of quality content, help get products to market, and build a team.

Qualifications(岗位要求)

15+ years of relevant, management experience

Experience as a senior leader in product management and/or business development in a Technology company, Consumer internet or entertainment and Entertainment company

Proven experience creating and implementing complex strategies and plans to bring products to market either within an organization or in collaboration with external developers, stakeholders, or partners, including finding “zero to one” pre-product market fit

Demonstrated experience creating and scaling 2 or 3 sided marketplaces or platforms

Proven experience to overseeing creative teams and/or developers creating and then delivering high quality software products or services

Experience managing and scaling organizations. Evidence of experience building a team from the ground up

Innovative problem solver who suggests solutions for product and business challenges and brings the right people together to solve problems and resolve bottlenecks

Experience connecting the right people, set the framework and context, and communicate frequently, forming collaborative relationships to make things happen

Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, tools, and processes from pre-production through to launch and in to live services

Can travel frequently for partner meetings, domestically and internationally (post COVID-19)

Description(岗位职责)

Support and shape the long term vision for the business, organization, content categories, and products. You will oversee categories of VR content in various stages of maturity such as creator tools, education, commerce, productivity and collaboration, health and wellness, and fitness, as well as general entertainment like movies and television, music and live performances, and experimental forms of immersive and interactive storytelling.

Categories within VR Applications and Entertainment are in a variety of stages in their trajectory toward full product-market fit. You will rigorously experiment, design and influence the creation of these new kinds of experiences for consumers and the new business models that will support builders, creators, partners and developers.

You will define and shape an organization to serve this need over time, while creating, managing and supporting diverse teams of content directors and managers.

Represent Facebook’s Metaverse content efforts internally and externally.

Work cross-functionally with Facebook leadership across internal product, engineering, partnerships, policy, legal, marketing, and PR teams to launch experiences that leverage Facebook’s superpowers, drive category awareness for Oculus products and find product market fit for emerging Content verticals in the Metaverse.

Work with the Oculus Product teams to help Apps and Entertainment stand out and thrive within the ecosystem by giving these verticals the visibility, APIs, and ecosystem they need.

Serve as the executive sponsor for relationships with key developers, partners and IP holders and serve as an internal advocate of their needs to influence new product & platform experiences.

Implement the structure, success metrics and criteria, and operating rhythms to deliver results whilst also shaping the overall long range plans and budget priorities.

Oversee the development of funded content ensuring that software is developed to quality and meets the criteria and requirements that come with the greenlight approval.

Coach and Mentor leaders of your team to contribute to a standard framework for large non-game projects that includes key technical milestones (e.g. Concept Review, Pre-production, Vertical Slice, Production, etc.) to deliver products on time, on budget and at quality.

Can travel frequently for partner meetings, domestically and internationally (post COVID-19).
