We are the AI organization in FRL at Facebook that is building a trusted contextual helper for all realities – Augmented or Virtual. Our team is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced Manager of Technical Program Management (TPM Manager) who will be responsible for our language development team for releases into a new product surface (hardware). We are looking for a seasoned TPM Manager with a proven track record of developing and shipping rich and intuitive AI driven consumer-facing products. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with a world class development team and leaders across the organization to bring together technology from multiple teams delivering trustworthy experiences into Facebook products (such as Portal, Oculus, and other Facebook surfaces). Our product experiences leverage technologies like NLP, Speech, Dialog, Knowledge Graph, Search, Ranking, and other ML and Deep Learning to create experiences that our customers love.
The ideal candidate will have the deep technical and program management expertise needed to provide support to a high performing team that is working to drive results across multiple complex, large scale initiatives and experience growing an organization of TPMs. They will be an inspirational leader that can win trust and establish alignment with a multidisciplinary array of cross-functional partners, and leverage this trust to exert influence across all phases of the product development lifecycle. They will have demonstrated experience building, mentoring and nurturing technical program/product management or engineering teams of 20 or more, and operating at scale in a highly transformative environment. They will be an innovative, intellectually curious problem solver who does not need to have the “correct” answer but, rather, is able to quickly steer the conversation toward a productive programmatic and principled solution by building and driving consensus. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to manage the team, develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
7+ years of experience with building and managing a team of Technical Program Managers.
8+ years of experience in technical program management.
Experience in growing organizations and developing a team culture.
Experience managing people managers.
Communication and interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team.
Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.
Experience communicating and representing work to senior leadership and framing discussions to gain valuable feedback and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
Analytical and problem-solving experience with complex software development.
Experience establishing and leading teams through multi-disciplinary relationships including product management and engineering to drive product impact.
Experience working on technical language stacks: ASR, TTS, NLU, NLG, etc.

Responsible for building, managing, and setting direction for teams as a whole as well as for individual team members’ success – hiring, developing and implementing organizational structure, delivering performance reviews, providing continual feedback, coaching and career growth for direct reports.
Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team.
As a manager, you will be responsible for identifying and solving systemic, organizational-wide problems, influencing, and building strong relationships. Partners include Product Management and Engineering to define needs to support strategic planning and execution as well as metrics, program requirements and scope.
Establish yourself as cross-functional partner you will lead technical discussions and be responsible for designing and executing process and strategy frameworks that facilitate product-related goal setting, decision making and business impact.
Articulate to stakeholders your team’s technology requirements, goals and milestones.
Integrate your technical knowledge, subject matter expertise and understanding trends to drive sound decisions and influence business direction through data-driven analysis.
Develop and train others to manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
Perform risk and change management on projects.
Influence program/product direction and simplify complexity.
