As Depth Sensing Research Engineer in the 3D Input sensing team, you provide technical leadership as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for planning, implementing, and analyzing characterization effort depth sensing systems.
BS in Optics, Physics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related experience.
Experience with SPAD array devices and a firm understanding of the fundamental principles of SPADs.
Experience designing, setting up and executing optical tests in the lab.
Hands-on experience characterizing imaging systems in a lab setting.
2+ years experience with Python or MATLAB coding.
Experience collaborating and routinely presenting technical data to cross functional audiences.
Multidisciplinary efforts will be needed to understand the characterization needs from early prototypes to production.
Design and implement metrics to quantify performance quality of depth sensing systems.
Present test plans and review results as part of cross-team collaborations.
MS or PHD in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering.
Hands on experience in optical simulation platforms – Zemax, CodeV.
Knowledge and experience with lasers, sub components (lens, DOE, VCSEL etc.), drivers, optical components.
Knowledge on Time of Flight system design, trade-offs. Experience with Lidar /iTOF/dTOF module or subsystem product development.
Experience with multi-camera system calibration.
