The Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) team is helping people around the world to come together and connect through world-class AR/VR hardware and software. We are seeking Research Interns to join the FRL XR People team and work on exciting R&D problems. XR People is an organization focused on productizing novel human understanding technologies on AR and VR devices. Through understanding of human appearance, movement and expression, the XR People team enables immersive new experiences that bring people closer together and enhance the way we interact with each other and computers.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering in the field of computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, or robotics.
2+ years experience with building systems based on computer graphics, computer vision or machine learning methods.
3+ years experience in C++ and Python.
Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
Description(岗位职责)
Collaborate with and support other researchers and engineers across various disciplines.
Develop and execute on an R&D agenda:
Literature review.
Implement baseline approaches.
Investigate, design and implement novel cutting-edge algorithms.
Develop tools, scripts and tests.
Document and present progresses.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
Has publications in top machine learning, computer vision, or computer graphics conferences/journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NIPS, ICLR, PAMI, IJCV)
Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. Github).
Tracking and modelling of humans (eyes, face, hands, body, ...) and garments. Action and gesture recognition.
Action and gesture recognition.
3D reconstruction, non-rigid fusion, and volumetric capture (e.g. NeRF, PIFu, ...) Image analysis and synthesis (e.g. GAN, semantic segmentation, lighting estimation...).
ML based data compression techniques.
Differentiable rendering and analysis by synthesis.
Semi-supervised learning, self-supervised learning, or domain adaptation.
