Our Zurich Core Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future Oculus products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, Core Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.
Your job will be to both manage and partner with groups working across the full spectrum from research to product development, managing our technical investment portfolio supporting digital human representation across different timelines. You will oversee and be responsible for a broad array of state-of-the-art technology areas in Body Capture, Tracking, and Avatar Reconstruction as well as product integrations. Prospective candidates should have sufficient technical depth and breadth in the associated set of technologies to make portfolio management, resourcing and roadmap decisions.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience in leading teams productizing machine perception technologies (i.e., computer vision, deep learning, sensors and robotics)
Experience managing joint hardware-software development
Experience supporting an engineering and research organization through technical leadership
Experience in recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
Description（岗位职责）
Lead an organization comprised of technology leaders and engineers from prototyping to development and integration of advanced systems relying heavily on Computer Vision and/or AI/Machine Learning technologies
Manage engineers teams by mentoring, empowering their growth, and helping them deliver impact
Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement
Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams
Collaborate effectively with researchers, engineers (ML, CV, software, infrastructure, applications, firmware, hardware, electrical, mechanical, optical), and external vendors
Communicate cross-functionally across internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts
Use technical expertise and cross-functional relationships to identify strategic engineering goals and intermediate milestones
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Masters or PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics or AI/Machine Learning
Experience shipping computer vision or AL/Machine Learning technology into hardware products
Experience partnering with research scientists
Experience in transferring research to production
Experience with large scale data collection
